After a devastating fire that destroyed the City of Porterville’s previous library, AGD was hired to complete a tenant improvement of an existing cold shell retail store as the temporary location of the library. The 8100 square foot space includes reading areas, computer areas, library stacks, and staff support spaces. The scope of work included interior design services, non-structural wall construction, plumbing, electrical, and accessibility review. This rather straightforward design and engineering project helped to provide a wonderful and inspiring space to bring hope back to the community after such a disastrous loss.
